Prof. Gian Luca Salvagno, MD, PhD

Prof. Gian Luca Salvagno was born in Bussolengo (Verona), he has taken the degree In Medicine in 2002 and the specialization in Clinical Biochemistry in 2007. Currently he is Associate Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Verona and Responsible of the Clinical Chemistry section of the Laboratory of Clinical Chemistry and Hematology of the University Hospital of Borgo Roma, Verona.

He has published more than 300 articles in scientific journals and has participated in over 130 national and international conferences.

The research activity, which integrates with the clinical-care activity, mainly concerns the pre-analytical variability, the development and validation of analytical methods in clinical chemistry, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, immunometry and the study of new biochemical and molecular markers for the diagnosis and monitoring of neoplastic, cardiovascular and haemostatic pathologies.
