She created a cancer patient advocacy strategy amid the complex political, cultural and regulatory landscape of Romania. The association is providing cancer patients and caregivers with the support and education they need so they can make their own decisions about their next steps, thus creating high-quality customized solutions that make a measurable difference.

She developed and implemented various cancer awareness, informational and educational campaigns in Romania, such as Make Sense (Community Health Association is the official Make Sense partner for Romania. Alina also launched a head and neck cancer survivors guide in Romania) and the colorectal screening cancer pilot campaign in Romania.

For the past 2 years she actively took part in the initiatives and activities promoted by the ECPC's bladder and rare cancers working groups, providing the Eastern European and Romanian input. Researcher within PREFER IMI funded project. Member of EORTC Group of Patient Experts.

The Association is the co-founder of the Coalition for European Health, a civil society initiative that advocates for more transparent and efficient health budget. This project focuses on a platform gathering patients’ stories and promoting patient navigation importance. The patients’ stories brochure, has been disseminated in a high level meeting with the Minister of health and Coalition member.
